Clanrye Reeds

Clanrye synthetic pipe chanter reeds need no blowing in. They work the first time and every time. Just take them out of the box and play!

The reeds will not change strength with use, nor will they change pitch after playing. They are not affected by temperature or humidity changes. Once you set and balance the Clanrye in your chanter the way you would an ordinary cane reed, you can forget it. The reed has an adjustable bridle on the blade in case you need to fine tune the F and G on your particular chanter. Full instructions come with the reed.

These strengths are fixed and cannot be altered by squeezing, scraping, sanding, or shaping without ruining the reed. It is important to select the correct strength—one that you are comfortable with.

Pricing

The Clanrye reed is warranted free from defects in manufacture for a period of three months from the date of purchase. If the reed splits or proves to be defective within that period, it will be replaced at no cost with another reed of the same strength. Good, used reeds are not returnable, primarily for sanitary reasons.
